We've Got Your Data Protected!

Security of our customers’ data has always been a top priority for Omnilert. This is why we are excited to announce that we have joined the Privacy Shield Framework from the U.S. Department of Commerces International Trade Association (ITA.)

For those not familiar with Privacy Shield, it is a framework designed by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the European Commission and Swiss Administration to provide companies on both sides of the Atlantic with a mechanism to comply with data protection requirements when transferring personal data from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States in support of transatlantic commerce.

As a company that works with many multi-national companies as well as companies based in Europe – we view Privacy Shield as an important requirement for ensuring the protection of their data. With this compliance in place, they can be fully guaranteed that any content transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to our cloud servers is fully compliant with European data protection requirements.

Proactive Data Protection
Omnilert takes a proactive stance on data security and privacy to stay ahead of compliance and hackers. Cybersecurity policies are at the core of Omnilert’s business, so we can keep customer data protected from cybersecurity threats.

In addition to the Privacy Shield Framework, Omnilert is certified to SOC 2 Type 2, one of the most stringent, industry-accepted auditing standards for service companies. This provides assurance to our clients, through an independent auditor, that our business processes, information technology and risk management controls are properly designed. Omnilert is proud that SOC 2 compliance demonstrates we have the appropriate controls in place to mitigate risks related to the services we provide to our customers.

Below are the key pillars of Omnilert’s ongoing and proactive security policies and procedures:

  • Authentication – Omnilert uses multi-factor authentication for all of our internal accounts where available, adding an extra layer of data security to our systems.
  • Cryptographic Controls – Omnilert bases its technical security controls on the U.S. Federal Government cryptographic standards and guidelines.
  • Classification – All information handled or processed by Omnilert is labeled according to its sensitivity.
  • Security Board – An Omnilert security board is available 24/7/365 to monitor and handle any security events.
An Ongoing Crusade
Data protection is an ongoing pursuit - and something that Omnilert will always be vigilant about. Whether it’s internal technologies or compliance with standards such as SOC2 and Privacy Shield, we will always do whatever is in our customers' best interest to ensure their data is secure and protected.
