It’s exciting to see yet another award come in, this time for our major new release of Omnilert Desktop Alert, which won Campus Technology’s Best Product of 2021 in the “Security Incident and Event Management” category. It’s particularly gratifying as Desktop Alert was only released a month ago (check out the press release).
At Omnilert, we try very hard to provide solutions that demonstrate our passion for innovation and our role as a pioneer in the emergency mass notification systems market. Certainly, we feel we’re on track to make 2021 an outstanding year as, so far, Omnilert has won 8 awards for our new products!
Omnilert Desktop Alert (or, ODA, as we call it internally) is a great example of taking an existing capability and extending it. Typical desktop alerting products allow “big screen” display of alarms. Our new version includes that capability, but also adds the automated pagination of messages with interleaved text and graphics so that our customers can concentrate on getting the message out without worrying about formatting.
Additionally, ODA includes the full functionality of the Omnilert App, which brings in powerful two-way communications at scale, location telemetry, subscriber tipping, and a virtual panic button with a silent alarm -- all in one simple to deploy and easy to use package.
