Omnilert CEO Bagdasarian Earns Achievement Award from Buffalo State

Omnilert, LLC announced CEO Ara H. Bagdasarian received the Young Alumnus Achievement Award from Buffalo State during their 141st Commencement celebration, May 18. Established in 2002, the Young Alumnus Achievement Award recognizes alumni who have achieved significant professional advancement, demonstrated service to the community, and demonstrated loyalty and commitment to Buffalo State, The State University of New York.

Buffalo State Vice President of Institutional Advancement and Development, Dr. Susanne Bair, said, "Ara Bagdasarian has established himself as a leader in his industry and as an entrepreneur with innovative ways of thinking. Buffalo State is proud to recognize his accomplishments. Mr. Bagdasarian is one of approximately 150 to receive a distinguished alumni award out of 100,000 graduates."

Buffalo State Director of Alumni Affairs Mary-Jo Jagord said, "Ara personifies what this award represents and he is an inspiration to our students. He is clearly very active in the community having served as Chairman on the Town of Leesburg’s Economic Development Commission, President of the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra, and Founding Board Member of Loudoun Center for the Arts. His service to the college sets a solid example to the students in activities that support the college mission."

Jagord continued, "Ara’s professional achievements are abundant, with several start-ups under his belt. The most recent company he co-founded, Omnilert, builds innovative products that millions of people depend on every day for personal and public safety. Additionally, he shares his entrepreneurial knowledge in an award-winning book he co-authored called 'The Lemonade Stand,' which has since spawned the 'Lemonhead Movement' across the nation. Ara is an inspiration to all of us."
