Omnilert Completes SOC 2 Confirming Data Confidentiality and Privacy

LEESBURG, September 21, 2021 — Omnilert, the innovation leader in visual gun detection and emergency management, has successfully completed its SOC 2 Type 2 audit. SOC 2 engagements are based on the AICPA’s Trust Service Criteria and focus on an organization’s non-financial reporting controls as they relate to the security and availability of a system. With this successful audit, Omnilert maintains its adherence to one of the most stringent auditing standards for service companies and provides additional assurance that its business process, information technology and risk management controls are properly designed.

The official audit report provides a thorough review of Omnilert’s internal controls, policies and processes for its products and services. The audit also reviews Omnilert’s procedures relating to risk management and sub-service (vendor) due diligence, and Omnilert’s entire IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle, change management, logical security, network security, physical & environmental security and computer operations.

"We are pleased that our SOC 2 report shows we have the appropriate controls in place to mitigate risks related to the services we provide,” said Dave Fraser, CEO of Omnilert. “Omnilert Gun Detect, and its Emergency Management Platform, assists our customers in preventing gun violence and in keeping their students, employees and cons

tituents safe and informed.”
