Bowie State University advances campus safety with emergency notification system from e2Campus

New system will send SMS text messages of urgent news to students mobile phones.


Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland has advanced campus safety with the roll-out of the e2Campus mass notification system. Bowie State will tap the power of text messaging by using the e2Campus Web-based service to communicate emergency news to the cell phones of students, faculty and staff.


Ernest L. Waiters, Police Chief and Director of Public Safety at Bowie State said, “Bowie State University Department of Public Safety in partnership with the Division of External Relations and the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life is providing faculty, staff and students with instant notifications of all university closings and pending emergencies facing Bowie State University.”
