Multi-Channel Emergency Notifications Using Google G1 & Apple iPhone

Demonstration held in booth #1450 at EDUCAUSE 2008 in Orlando, Florida

From booth #1450 at EDUCAUSE 2008, we will be giving demonstrations on how to use Omnilert to send multimodal emergency notifications from Google’s G1 phone and Apple’s iPhone. Omnilert will also demonstrate a new emergency notification system (ENS) specifically designed to run on Apple iPhones, called the Omnilert iPhone Edition.

Nick Gustavsson, Chief Technology Officer at Omnilert, LLC said, “Any administrator can safely stay on the leading edge of technology and never worry about not reaching his/her Omnilert account. In the case of the iPhone, Omnilert iPhone Edition was made specifically for the platform and offers unparalleled ease of use. The new G1 phone from T-Mobile is another great example of new technology that will change the way mobile devices are used.”

Because Omnilert is a mobile Software as a Service (mobile SaaS), it can be utilized by any web-connected smartphone powered by Windows Mobile, BlackBerry OS, Google Android, Symbian and others. Admins can easily and reliably send emergency alerts from any smartphone such as the Apple iPhone, Google G1, RIM BlackBerry, HTC Mogul, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1, Palm Treo, Motorola Q9, and many more.
