e2Campus Launches New Online User Community for e2Campus Administrators to Share Ideas, Tips and Tools
New community gives customers a voice while developing knowledge experts in emergency notification
LEESBURG, VA – February 19, 2008 – Omnilert™, LLC, maker of the leading emergency notification system for higher education called e2Campus™, today announced a new resource for e2Campus administrators called the e2Campus User Community. Using Web 2.0 technologies, the new community creates a social network of experts with a common interest to improve public safety and campus communication. It allows e2Campus admins and their staff to search for information, post questions, share ideas, download documents, watch videos, learn about 3rd party seminars and events, and get in touch with fellow e2Campus admins.
The online user community is a private website for registered members, so very little content is available to the general public. All e2Campus administrators and their staff are encouraged to register online at: http://www.e2Campus.org.
Ara Bagdasarian, CEO of Omnilert, LLC explains, “We strive to give our customers industry-leading technology with the best customer service experience possible. This new community gives our customers a voice and empowers them to optimize their emergency notification systems within a new collective intelligence. From the market’s perspective, it helps us further differentiate our service as the leading emergency notification system for colleges and universities to increase campus safety.”
About e2Campus
Endorsed by Security On Campus Inc. and used by more than 400 schools around the country, e2Campus is the Web-based emergency notification system that enables school officials to self-administer and send time-sensitive messages for a fraction of the cost and complexity of existing notification solutions. There is no traditional software to install, no hardware to buy and no additional phone lines needed. A school can set up a secure notification system in minutes to send routine, urgent or emergency notifications to their entire campus community or smaller groups, such as multiple campuses, residence halls, staff-only or sports news. e2Campus instantly and simultaneously sends multi-modal emergency alerts to a subscriber's mobile phone (via SMS text message), e-mail accounts, RSS reader, and handset phone (via text-to-voice), plus all campus loudspeakers, digital signage, alert beacons, and relevant Web pages.
